Event Details

Activist, political satirist and author Mark Thomas is doing his bit to support the campaign for Equal Marriage in Northern Ireland. For one lunchtime only Mark will be reading from his numerous publications including ‘100 Acts of Minor Dissent’ , before his sell out gig the same evening. Conducting another skirmish in his on going a one man war on social and economic injustice.

During his ‘People’s Manifesto’ tour Mark highlighted the fact that women in NI do not have the same access to abortion as their counterparts in England and campaigned for equal marriage.

In 2013 Mark organised a benefit gig with Bridget Christie, Josie Long and others, ‘Stand up for Choice’ at Mandela Hall, to raise much-needed funds to support abortion rights advocacy work in Northern Ireland.

Mark now returns for this very special benefit gig to support the current legal challenge by two couples to have equal marriage in Northern Ireland.
